Purchased for $24,000 at the Rockhampton National Droughtmaster Sale 2001.

​

Shogun was selected specifically for his excellent muscle pattern and sire appeal.

​

Shogun sired the 2005 Australian All Breeds Record Priced bull, "Strathfield Upton" along with the 2008 record price Highlands Sale topper, "Strathfield Wizdom".

​

He produced some outstanding calves with good fleshing and moderate bone.

Purchased at the 2009 Highlands Droughtmaster Sale, Zimbabwe was selected for his overall length, depth, coat type, temperament and tidy underline. 

 

His first calves  to hit the ground certainly had  the "wow" factor.  

​

A bull that oozed "sire-power".

​

He was used in the stud herd for 3 years before being on-sold to Konjuli Droughtmaster Stud at Woolooga.

Redwing El Toro was purchased at the 2005 National Droughtmaster Sale at Gracemere for $20,000.

​

El Toro displayed an impeccable temperament, good spring of rib and good long muscle pattern. He was a well balanced sire who possessed volume, squareness and desireable, even finish.

 

Due to an untimely death there was only a limited number of progeny for sale.

Purchased at the Highlands Droughtmaster Bull Sale as a 2 year old. Kenlogan 160 was used lightly in the stud herd.

 

He was the sire of the $70,000 Strathfield Telesto and the $34,000 Strathfield Trucent at the 2004 National Droughtmaster Sale.

 

Kenlogan 160 possessed a faultless temperament. He oozed with volume and capacity through his tremedous length, depth and spring of rib - characteristics that he passed to his progeny.

 

Since his passing, he has been used in the stud through AI.

Strathfield Merlin was a very prominent homebred sire.

 

He was a very mobile, extremely well muscled bull who possessed an excellent temperament and libido. 

 

His bloodlines feature two very dominant sires in Strathfield Vision and Strathfield Vaseline.  Both these sires have had a major impact on the Strathfield Herd.  

​

Merlin was finally put to rest in April 2009 at the grand old age of 14 years.

Strathfield Garrick 89 was a prominent sire within the Strathfield herd.

 

He stamped his progeny with his excellent temperament and muscle pattern.

 

Many of the Strathfield females have bloodlines directly related to Garrick 89.

Purchased privately from the Edmistone family at Dingo.

​

Kieren was selected out of a crop of 40 bulls. He was specifically selected for his bone structure, temperament, length and excellent sheath.

​

He was a very prominent sire within the Strathfield herd and has produced some excellent females and outstanding male calves. He was the sire of Strathfield VB who sold for $45,000 at the 2007 National Droughtmaster Sale.

​

Wandobah Kieren was re-sold to Fieldhouse Stud in Western Australia.

Purchased for $20,000 at the 2006 Billabong Sale.

 

Oceanic was a huge framed, robust sire with a very dominant polled head. He had tremendous length, depth and his progeny is showing huge potential.

 

He sired the $20,000 bull, Strathfield X-plode.

 

Oceanic was re-sold to Huntly Droughtmaster Stud for use in their herd.

Neolithic was a very eye-catching bull with a tidy underline and a strong, polled head.

He was used very lightly prior to an untimely end.

Normanton was selected for his tidy underline, good muscle pattern and polled genetics.  He was used in the stud for a number of seasons and he stamped his progeny. 

 

Many females have been retained in the stud and his sons have sold well both in the paddock and through the sale ring.

​

Normanton was a real old gentleman - very easy to handle.

Not often do you find a dark-red, high-contented Droughtmaster bull. 

 

Debonair sired good, strong, athletic sons, but his flair was for producing fantastic females.

​

Many Debonair females have been retained in the stud herd.  They are very easy-doing, well fleshed and survive our tough conditions with ease.  Very impressive females.

​

Used for two seasons in the stud, he then went to the Rondel stud at Winton.

A lovely soft, easy-doing bull with great polled characteristics.  A son of the much-loved Redwing El Toro, he sported his sire's temperament and confirmation.

His calves were nothing if not spectacular and were highly sought after by both stud and commercial buyers.

​

Many of his females have been retained in both the stud and commercial operation.

Purchased at the 2017 Aldinga Droughtmaster Sale for $11,000.

​

Only a baby at sale day, this was a youngster who caught our eye at the Open Day prior to sale.    We could see the huge potential through his correct structure and clean, tidy underline. 

 

He grew into a very powerful sire and is now used in our commercial herd.

An extremely long, fertile and very functional Droughtmaster bull.

​

An impeccable temperament which made him a pleasure to work with, Detroit left a lasting legacy within the Strathfield herd.  Many of his females were retained and have proven to be good mothers.

​

Numerous sons have sold from between $10 to $20,000 at auction with many more sons sold in the paddock.

​

Detroit suffered an injury which prevented further use.
