Top Price Bull- 2005 National Droughtmaster Sale
Strathfield Upton sold for the then Australian all breeds record price of $140,000 at the National Droughtmaster Sale at Gracemere in September 2005. He was sold on a 3/4 share and full possession basis to the Vitwood Stud, Pialba.
Upton's sale weight was 1026kg at 32 months of age. He was a magnificent bull which was evident by his sale price. He had tremendous sire appeal, overall balance, excellent muscle pattern and underline. A very mobile sire who possessed a personality second to none. Strathfield Upton is used in the stud through A.I.
Strathfield set a new breed average record of $52,000 for 3 registered bulls at the 2005 National Sale.
