Purchased for $24,000 at the Rockhampton National Droughtmaster Sale 2001.
Shogun was selected specifically for his excellent muscle pattern and sire appeal. Shogun sired the 2005 Australian All Breeds Record Priced bull, "Strathfield Upton" along with the 2008 record price Highlands Sale topper,
"Strathfield Wizdom".
He has produced some outstanding calves with good fleshing and moderate bone.
